An original vintage 1988 East German cinema poster for the 1986 Russian children's film 'After the Rain, on Thursday' (После дождичка в четверг), with artwork by E. Hennig.
The poster was designed for the East German market, via Progress Film-Verleih, the country's sole film distributor during the communist era. Rather than paying for the expensive rights to international posters, Progress commissioned artists to create entirely new posters and allowed broad artistic freedom (and usually great artistic licence when depicting the film's contents).
As such, these unique film posters of the DDR period are incrasingly collected.
These poster were folded from manufacture as standard.

Condition
Generally in good condition. It has been stored flat for some time, so the original folds are minimal. Some pinholes to the corners. A small tear to the top of the poster.
