A scarce pair of cut crystal glass footed vases commemorating the 1937 coronation of King George VI, both substantial, thick-walled and decorated with deep cutting all over, with ‘G(VI)R – 1937’ cut on the fronts of the vases. They were made in 1937 by SAWREX, a little-known trade name of Stevens & Williams, England.
One vase is marked ‘British SAWREX’ to the base.
