An original vintage art deco coat hook made of solid bronze plated in a warm and gently patinated silver-coloured metal, made in France in the 1940s or thereabouts, and salvaged from the changing rooms of an old public swimming pool in Northern France.
Unlike modern copies of the style, these are very well-made, with very tidy welding, and a little weight to them.
Ready to mount on a backing board, wall or door.

Condition
As you might expect from 80 years of use, there are minor knocks and bumps to the metal, as well as gentle patina to the plating, with some rubbing to the extremities exposing the underlying bronze, such as around the screw holes, and light verdigris in corners and crevices (see last image for both).
