An original poster for ‘Hans-Peter Haas; seine Werkstätte in zwei Jahrzehnten’ - a 1978 exhibition of serigraph works by 70 artists printed by the renowned Hans-Peter Haas screen printing studio in Stuttgart, Germany, founded 20 years prior.
The poster features a silhouette of Haas himself, against a bold red ground within a trompe l'oeil picture frame.
Haas (1935-) was fundamental in the shaping and refinement of post-war artistic screen printing, in Germany and further afield, and has produced works for many print artists, from Roy Lichtenstein to Victor Vasarely.
The poster is signed in pencil by Haas in the bottom right of the ‘frame’, reading ‘H.P. Haas 78’.This poster is suitable for an A1 size frame.
