A petit near-antique pendant lamp with a vented chrome gallery / shade carrier and an attractive bulb-shaped shade of opaque white glass cased in a pale taupe or muted yellow. The gallery was made by the unfortunately-named Bland Light Syndicate, a British gaslight company from the turn of the last century.

The small nature of the lamp makes it ideal for compact spaces like WCs and pantries, as well as for hanging in window openings, in the Scandinavian style, to make darker months feel less oppressive.

The lamp has been cleaned, rewired, and brought up to modern electrical requirements with a new British-made solid brass earthed lampholder and a good length of premium Italian period-style 3-core twisted cable with a mottled linen braid.

Accepts a single B22 bayonet cap bulb.
