A scarce pair of large midcentury table lamps shaped like space age chess pieces, with with polished chrome bases and caps, and knopped white ceramic mid-sections. They were produced in Italy in the mid- to late-1970s. The lamps have been brought up to modern safety specifications, each with a new earthed/grounded Bakelite E27 Edison Screw Cap bulbholder, a generous length of premium vintage-style Italian cable with a bright, contrasting blue rayon braid, and a new Bakelite in-line switch.
