A vintage pair of small, but heavy, neodymium glass vases of baluster form, with applied bases. They were designed in the late 1960s by Mario Pinzoni for Murano glassworks, Seguso Vetri d’Arte, but were probably produced in the late 1970s or thereabouts.
Neodymium glass is purple-pink under most lighting, including in daylight, but changes to a pale blue under fluorescent lighting, as per the second image.
We acquired these some years ago from a sale of old stock and samples from the Seguso factory.
