A solid cast and patinated bronze cross-shaped wall-hanging plaque (or large pendant) executed in a Brutalist style, featuring an abstracted depiction of the last supper, embossed with the words ‘Je Suis Avec Vous’ (‘I am with you’). It was designed and made by renowned and prolific German ecclesiastical artist and master goldsmith, Egino Weinert (1920-2012) at his Cologne workshop.

The bronze bears a label to the verso from the Val-Dieu Abbey in Belgium, which is likely where it was originally purchased.

Has a loop to the top for hanging or stringing up.
