A large wall-hanging modernist candle-holder of decorative wrought iron with black lacquer finish and two slabs of open-cast glass in a subtle taupe colour. It was made by Dantoft, Denmark, in the late 1960s or thereabouts.
The glass is from the 'Arkitektur-Glas' series by Christer Sjögren for Lindshammar Glasbruk, Sweden, and was frequently incorporated by other Scandinavian manufacturers into their pieces.
Bears its original, if faded, label to the verso.
