A scarce pair of small wrythen drop-shaped sommerso glass table lamps, with a core of ruby red, a layer of controlled bubbles (‘bullicante’), cased in a layer of clear. They were produced in the 1960s on the Island of Murano by the Archimede Seguso furnace.

The lamps have been dismantled, cleaned, and brought up to modern safety standards with new British-made lamp-holders with safety switches, a generous length of vintage style 3-core cable with a period-correct brown silk braid, and a new 3-pin UK plug. Each lamp accepts a single B22 bayonet bulb.

The lamps are slightly different due to their handmade nature, but were bought as a pair and kept together from new, 60+ years ago.
