An antique table lamp comprising gilt bronze cap and base, with a hand-painted baluster-form pottery body, decorated in the Secessionist manner with dark red stylised cherries framed by decorative black borders against an ochre yellow ground. It was made in France in the early 1920s.
The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and brought up to modern safety standards, with an earthed brass lamp-holder and a double-insulated 3-core twisted cable with a period-correct silk braid in a golden yellow that complements the pottery glaze. Supplied with a 3-amp British plug.
The lamp accepts a single B22 bayonet cap bulb.
