An original 1950s desk lamp with an adjustable brass gooseneck stem, a sold cast iron base, and a stylish spun steel shade. The painted parts retain their original creamy off-white textured ‘wrinkle’ paint. The lamp was made in the 1950s, almost certainly in West Germany.
The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and brought up to modern electrical safety standards, with a new Bakelite lamp-holder, a concealed earth tag, a new push-button switch, and a good length of premium Italian double-insulated 3-core cable with a decorative houndstooth braid. The lamp is supplied with a 3-amp British plug.
The lamp accepts a single E14 small Edison screw bulb.

Condition
Some minor wear to the edges of the painted parts, and some patina to the brass gooseneck. The gooseneck holds its form perfectly, and the lamp is clean and ready to use.
