An original art deco table lamp comprising a long black marble base with white veins on four bronze feet, surmounted with a dynamic, asymmetrical pair of well-cast bronze swallows, and a decorative frosted moulded glass shade with a trailing vine-like pattern. The lamp was made in France in the 1930s or thereabouts.
The lamp has been rewired and brought up to modern safety specifications with a concealed earth tag, a length of 3-core twisted cable with a period-appropriate gold silk sheath, and a 3A UK plug.
The lamp accepts a single B22 bayonet cap bulb.

Small wear to the marble base, and some surface marks to the glass shade, otherwise excellent. Clean and ready to use.
