An uncommon table lamp base, model 794903, with a stylised bird and corn motif executed in moulded glass using the ‘Pink Matt’ colourway, conceived in 1934 by ex-Lalique designer, Étienne Frankhauser, for a short-lived range of decorative wares by British glassworks, Jobling.
Capped off with a patinated brass gallery and lampholders both inside and outside the base. The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and rewired with British-made solid brass earthed lampholders and a generous length of new vintage-style 3-core twisted cable with a period-appropriate ‘old gold’ woven silk sheath.
The lamp accepts x2 B22 bayonet cap bulbs, and are controlled by a white Bakelite inline switch.
The lamp is ready to use, with a UK plug fitted.
