An original art deco table lamp, made in, then, Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. Made of blown glass with a subtle green-grey hue, decorated in alternating panels of a 'vermicular' or 'wurmlinien' motif, one in bright red hand-painted enamel and the other in the negative space of an acid-etched surface. It has an applied base with an exceptionally well executed star-cut design.
The lamp has been sympathetically brought up to modern safety standards with a new switched chrome-plated bulb-holder and a generous length of premium Italian-made double insulated three core cable in a vintage twisted style with a decorative zig-zag Rayon fabric braid. The lamp accepts a single B22 bayonet bulb.

Condition
Generally excellent. Small signs of rubbing to etched and painted surface, as you'd expect.
