A pair of tall vintage turned wooden candlestick-form table lamps with stepped bases and knopped tops, decorated all over with a handpainted blue and dark cream barber-pole design, distressed with sponged gold paint. They were made in the early 1990s for French fabric company, Madura.

If paired with small gathered fabric shades, these lamps would fit in perfectly, and authentically, with the ‘90s revival creeping its way into interior design.

The lamps, with inline switches, retain their original wiring, which has been tested. They have their original 2-pin European plugs, but come supplied with UK 3-pin adaptors.

They each accept a single E27 Edison screw bulb.

One lamp retains its original Madura label.

Condition: Very minor marks to the painted surface, but otherwise excellent, clean, and ready to use.
