An unusual baluster-shaped table lamp made of solid green-tinted glass with a purple-red core that's been hotworked to look like coral or seaweed at the bottom of the ocean. There's no indication of maker, but it was almost certainly made on the island of Murano in the 1950s or 1960s (the brass cap hads archaic Italian threads that we've adapted to take modern parts).
The lamp has been cleaned, rewired with a generous length of premium Italian vintage-style twisted cable with a mottled grey linen cable, and has a new Italian vintage-style Bakelite bulbholder with built-in switch.
The lamp accepts an E27 Edison Screw bulb.
