A large antique opaline glass pendant lamp, recently salvaged from a Nottinghamshire infants' school built in 1924. The shade has a tapered drop-shape, with an open base for easy access to the bulb, and is capped off with an industrial steel/iron 'monk's cap' gallery with a length of welded chain. The lamp has been rewired with a generous length of Italian-made vintage-style cable with a deep gold braid. It accepts a B22 bayonet cap bulb.
