A scarce table lamp with polychrome glass and internal illumination, produced c.1935-38 by Bohemian glassworks, Ernst Steinwald & Co. The lamp has a crackle-like décor, similar to Ikora glass from the same period by WMF, that takes in an array of different colours – claret red, yellow, blue, green – in random striations.
The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and rebuilt to bring it up to modern safety standards, including earthed solid brass bulb-holders and a generous length of premium Italian double insulated three-core cable with a vintage-style mottled grey cotton braid.
The lamp accepts one B22 bayonet bulb for the main light, and one B15 small bayonet bulb for the internal light.
General Disclaimer: Because many of our vintage and antique lighting pieces are sold internationally, this lamp will be shipped without a plug unless otherwise mentioned. We can fit a standard UK plug for UK customers - please ask before or at the time of purchase.
