An unusual, and quite tall, 'naïve' folk art Corpus Christi crucifix, made of solid oak. It was produced in or around the 1950s, probably in Bavaria, Germany. It is unusual in that the Jesus figure carved in high relief - or in-situ as a part of the cross, rather than carved and applied separately. As such, it has nice pierced detail behind the legs where they separate from the cross.
