A large and heavy globe-shaped vase of thick-walled clear glass with a decorative surface that has been entirely hand-worked with cutting and grinding to create a graphic net-like pattern, emphasised by the contrast of the roughly-ground ‘holes’ in the net with the satin finish to the rest of the glass. The hole to the top of the vase has similarly been extensively worked, now a matt concave crater.
The vase was created at the Werkstatt Hanns Model, probably in the late 1970s or very early 1980s by either Hanns Model or Reiner Model.
The vase is unsigned, which isn’t uncommon for Model pieces.
