An incredibly fun vintage wooden wall lamp with a hand-painted pierrot figure leaning out of a window with a lantern. It is French, and probably dates to the 1930s-40s.
The decor is a combination of stencil and hand-painting, and the colours are still quite bright and fresh. The 'lantern' is an hexagonal blown glass shade with a frosted satin finish attached to a switched Bakelite bulbholder.
It has been rewired, and accepts a single B22 bayonet cap bulb.
The lamp is signed 'Lecocq' in the bottom right corner.

Condition
Generally excellent for its age. Some minor damage to the corners of the 'roof' (see last image) and some light rubbing to the original paintwork.
