A scarce and heavy table lamp designed by Antonio Da Ros in the mid- to late-1970s for Murano glassworks, Cenedese.
The ball-shaped lamp is made of thick clear glass with applied opal and aventurine that forms a flower-like design in the base of the lamp. It has an applied cylindrical foot of opal white glass.
The lamp has been rewired with a generous length of vintage-style Italian twisted cable with a black and white zig-zag braided sheath. The lamp accepts an E27 Edison Screw bulb.
