A modern classic 5450 ‘Tikal’ table lamp, designed by Vico Magistretti in 2004 for Italian lighting firm Candle, part of the FontanaArte group. The lamp is of helmet-like form comprising two off-axis elements of which the base is fixed and is topped by a second mobile shade that spins to regulate the amount of light emitted. When aligned, the light is a thin slit, and when fully rotated it casts a pool of illumination. The lamp is in Midnight Blue – an intense blue-black colour.
The lamp was only produced 2005-2006, and is relatively uncommon.
The lamp accepts a single E14 small Edison screw bulb. Has its original wiring and 2-pin European plug. UK buyers will be provided with a Europe-UK converter plug.
