A classic art deco plafonnier 'flycatcher' shade by French lighting firm Noverdy, dating to the 1930s. It is made of satin glass with a faint purple-grey hue and features an eyecatching design of three heavily embossed clam shells, stylised into different layers to give the design even greater depth.

The shade is suspended on three good lengths of brass chain attached to three hooks with brass 'pearl' finials, which fit well with the clam design.

This lot comprises the glass shade, three hooks, three lengths of chain. No ceiling hook or electrical componenets included.

Signed faintly to the top rim: 'Noverdy France Deposé'.
