A very scarce 'Ultralite' opaline glass pendant lamp, designed in 1927 by Francis Ellis for London firm, Johnsen & Jorgensen Flint Glass, Ltd, and made in Czechoslovakia. It features a large bowl with three chains, and a removable hood that keeps the lamp dust free.

The lamp comes with three lengths of welded chain with a Japanned black finish, and a ceiling rose with three hooks, both modern, but in-keeping with the period. It will not come supplied with any electrical components.

The glass hood has the trademark 'Ultralite' printed to the side, along with the patent and registered design numbers, both applied for in 1928.
