A very tall and very unusual handcarved and handpainted wooden table lamp featuring a naively-modelled tiger eating an antelope, with additional peahen and floral decoration to the other sections of the lamp. It was made in India, circa 1950s.
The lamp has been rewired, with a new period-style Bakelite bulbholder and a generous length of premium Italian-made twisted cable with a white fabric braid.
