A vintage wrought iron candlestick-shaped table lamp with distressed gilt finish and painted metal ‘candle’, produced in southern Spain in the 1950s or early 1960s. Made in a style that straddles mid-century Brutalism and classical Spanish styling, with a castellated drip tray, square knopped stem, and pointy pad feet, decorated in incised lines all over.
The lamp has been dismantled, thoroughly cleaned, and brought up to modern safety specifications with an earthed British-made solid brass safety switched bulb-holder, and a good length of premium Italian 3-core double insulated cable with a vintage style mottled grey linen sheath.
