A classic art nouveau plafonnier 'flycatcher' shade by French art glass and lighting firm Muller Frères, dating to the 1920s-30s. It is made of mottled polychrome glass, predominantly blue, purple and pink, on a white ground, with a frosted surface for a diffuse spread of light when illuminated. The shade is suspended on three gold lacquered hand-wrought iron loops with decorative metal roses and foliage, attached to a large ceiling rose shaped from three metal leaves.
This lot comprises the glass shade, three hooks, three suspension loops, and a ceiling rose with hook. No electrical components included.
Etched indistinctly to the side: 'Muller Frères, Lunéville', with a second, also faint, engraved signature.
