A very scarce pair of delicate mouthblown glass plates, decorated ‘a cristallo oro’ – clear glass with gold leaf applied during the blowing process that separates as the glass enlarges – with an applied ring foot and snapped pontil mark to the base.
They date to the 1930s and were most likely made by the furnace of Artistica Soffieria e Vetreria Barovier Seguso & Ferro, the existing technical drawings for which show very similar forms with cristallo oro decoration.
