A pair of small vintage solid bronze angel sculptures executed in a modernist style typical of post-war German ecclesiastic art. Small palm-sized bronzes like these were often sold as ‘Handschmeichler’ – or ‘worry stones’. They were made in Germany, probably in the 1970s/80s.
