A vintage pottery table lamp of conical form with a handpainted decoration of random, abstract lines in a typical 1950s palette. The decoration has some sgraffito elements, with the glaze intermittently scratched through with a stitch-like design, one that is mirrored by a handpainted version elsewhere on the lamp. It was made in England in the early 1950s by Rye Pottery, and was likely designed by Wally or Jack Cole.

The lamp has been rewired with a generous length of premium Italian vintage-style cable with a yellow rayon fabric braid that picks up on the yellow on the lamp, and has been refitted with a switched Bakelite bulb-holder, also in a vintage style.

The lamp accepts an E27 Edison Screw bulb.

The lamp is fully stamped to the base: 'Rye Pottery - Made In England'.
