A tall, slender hand-wrought iron table lamp with a heavy two-step plate base and a stem with three twists along its length, topped with a smaller plate before the lamp-holder. The lamp was made in France in the 1950s or thereabouts.

Much of the original paint remains, but has worn gracefully over the years, with a few areas of historic rust – now encapsulated in layer of museum-grade microcrystalline wax.

The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned, and brought up to modern safety standards with a new British-made switched patinated brass B22 lamp holder and a generous length of premium Italian double-insulated 3-core cable with a mottled grey woven linen braid. Supplied with a 3-pin UK plug.
