A solid cast and patinated bronze cross-shaped wall-hanging plaque executed in a Brutalist style, featuring a depiction of Jesus’ resurrection, and entitled ‘Calling us to the glory of life’ (Resurrection), by renowned and prolific German ecclesiastical artist and master goldsmith, Egino Weinert (1920-2012).
The bronze bears a label to the verso from a previous owner, recording that they acquired the cross directly from the artist in 1997 after visiting his Cologne workshop.
Has a hole to the back for hanging on a small nail or screw.
