A vintage and heavy bowl of deep blue glass, thickly cased in clear lead crystal, with hotworked decoration all over, part of what is informally known as the ‘Knobbly’ series (pattern number 9613), designed by William Wilson and Harry Dyer in 1963 for Whitefriars glass, England.
The Knobbly series was made in the Blue Cased colourway between 1964 and 1968, before it was replaced with the lighter Kingfisher colour.
