A vintage 'pâte-de-verre' glass table lamp in the art nouveau style, of red and blue mottled glass with a matt etched surface, and patinated brass mounts. It was made by Art de France in the late 1970s or thereabout in the style of 1920s-30s lighting by Muller Frères, amongst others.

The lamp has two light sources – one on top, and one inside the lamp body, which casts a warm glow when lit.

Signed ‘Art de France’ to the top side of the base.

The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and rewired with new earthed solid brass lamp-holders and a generous length of 3-core cable with a vintage ‘old gold’ silk braid that marries well with the period aesthetics of the lamp base, and an inline white Bakelite switch.

The lamp accepts a B22 bayonet bulb, and a B12 small bayonet cap bulb inside the lamp. It comes fitted with a UK 3-pin plug. International buyers should be able to readily and inexpensively source plug adaptors for their domestic outlets.
