A complete vintage set of six patinated cast zinc ashtrays or dishes in the form of hedgehogs that sit inside each other to form one larger hedgehog. The original design was by Viennese artist Walter Bosse, c.1952; an iconic form that was ‘borrowed’ by a few foundries around the world. This set was made by the 1st Moscow Instrument Making Plant, any time between the mid-1970s to mid-1980s.

Whilst not a genuine Bosse set, they’re still very decorative and well-made, and a fraction of the price of the bronze originals.

The largest dish marked to the base with the Cyrillic foundry mark: 1??? (1MPZ).
