A very tall vintage table lamp made of clear glass decorated ‘a scavo’ (in the manner of excavated Roman glass – matted, textured and lightly encrusted with mineral deposits), and shaped like a column candlestick, with a wide ribbed base, a fluted stem, a wide candle cup, and a faux candle with brass fittings on top. It was made in the late 1970s by Murano glassworks, Seguso Vetri d’Arte, and was probably designed by Vittorio Rigattieri, SvdA’s head designer at this time.

The lamp has been rewired with a brand new British-made B22 bayonet cap switched lamp-holder, and a good length of premium Italian 3-core cable with a decorative vintage-style mottled grey woven cotton braid.
