A vintage flush lamp for ceiling or wall, with a mouthblown dome-shaped shade of overshot ribbed glass and a decorative applied filigree in pale blue glass. It has a decorative patinated bronze/brass finial and cover plate that secures the shade. It was made in the 1970s or 1980s in Murano, and was distributed by Massive, a well-known Belgian lighting company.

Overshot glass is when the molten glass is rolled in ground shard of glass to create a textured, icy surface. Here, it provides excellent diffusion for the shade, so the light is spread quite evenly with little direct glare from the bulb.

The lamp accepts a single E27 Edison screw bulb. The lamp requires hard-wiring into a lighting circuit.
