A large (9") and fairly scarce pattern 9638 waisted soda glass vase in Shadow Green - a deep and dark blue-green colour redolent of Scandinavian palettes from the period - with a bright white applied 'enamel' rim. It was designed in 1964 by Geoffrey Baxter for English glassworks, Whitefriars.

This series of enamel edge vases and bowls was relatively short-lived (discontinued after only a couple of years) because of production issues leading to high production costs, and as such, they're not very common.

The vase bears its original paper factory label to the side.
