A very large late 19th Century Arts & Crafts hexagonal jardinière of hand-beaten and hand-chased brass, hand-riveted with copper. The repoussé design - a mirrored ram's horn motif - is reproduced on all six sides. The base is reinforced with steel plate to take the weight of heavy pots. Whilst a jardinière, it would also make an exceptionally impressive wastepaper basket.
XL Arts & Crafts Glasgow School Style Hand-Beaten Brass & Copper Jardiniere
Condition
A few knocks and bumps, especially to the top and bottom rims, as you'd expect. At some point someone has sealed the joints and rivets on the underside with solder, presumably to make it watertight, which doesn't affect its display.
